Telehealth services in NY, CT, FL.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of private practice experience, offering in-person psychotherapy near Grand Central in Manhattan and telehealth services to residents of New York, Connecticut, and Florida. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and completed my clinical internship at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital.

I have held faculty, teaching, and clinical supervisory positions at Columbia University, Teachers College, the New York State Psychiatric Institute, and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. My clinical and research background includes specialized training in the treatment of panic disorder and social anxiety. I have also served on the executive board of the Women’s Mental Health Consortium of New York for over a decade.

My extensive clinical and research experience informs an integrative, evidence-based approach tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. I draw on psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) to provide thoughtful, personalized care.

I provide therapy in both English and Hebrew.

Approach

Compassionate, Collaborative Care Focused on Insight, Meaningful Change, and Symptom Relief

Successful treatment is based on a warm, supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment, in which the client can comfortably explore issues and experience a good connection with the therapist. Psychotherapy is effective in reducing avoidance, “getting unstuck”, building healthier connections, charting a meaningful life path, becoming more effective relationally, and developing greater self-esteem and self worth. Collaboratively, working on developing healthier coping and acquiring new skills while understanding yourself and your patterns, will lead to making meaningful life changes and to healing from painful past experiences; all while experiencing reduction of unpleasant symptoms.

Psychotherapy can be short- or long-term, depending on your needs and goals. Some individuals seek focused, practical strategies to address a specific challenge, while others wish to explore more complex issues, gain deeper insight, and create lasting change.

While I do not prescribe medication, I collaborate with a trusted network of psychiatric prescribers and can provide referrals when appropriate. If you already work with a prescriber, I am happy to coordinate care to support a comprehensive, integrated approach to treatment.
